Wash Out/ Rescheduling of Fixtures
Within Queensland Social Sports, as a general rule the
first two weather cancellation rounds in a given season will be classified as a
‘Wash Out’, therefore will not be rescheduled or postponed. However, when wet
weather cancellations exceed two weeks in any given season, all following
weather cancellations will be rescheduled and played at a later date. However,
there are two exceptions:
1.
When competition length is 8 weeks or less (Only
applied to Social Evening Competitions)
2.
When byes are included within your competition (Only
applied to Social Evening Competitions)
In these circumstances, to guarantee number of games for our
teams, only the first weather cancellation round in given season will be
classified as a ‘Wash Out. All following weather cancellations will be
rescheduled and played at a later date.
Please note, in the event where Grand Final week, is
cancelled, these fixtures will always be postponed to a later date. Finally,
when games are ‘Washed Out’, all games will be scored as a draw (10-10), and
any forfeits received prior to the ‘Wash Out’ classification, will be
nullified.
Disclaimer – Queensland Social Sports, we will make
every effort to ensure games will be rescheduled in some form, however we are at
times limited by Venue regulations & availability, whereby in the
circumstance where fixtures
cannot feasibility played, such policy will be null & void.
